Testimonials

“Before joining I was overweight with a bad diet. Thanks to the facilities and staff I have completely changed. I have lost five stones, I eat healthily, and I work out regularly as there is always a new challenge to keep me interested and motivated.”
Simon, 37

“Being four-and-a-half stone lighter as well as having a significantly higher level of fitness has made me feel so much better about myself. My fitness programme has allowed me to keep track of my improvements, and as well as the gym I sometimes go to the classes for a change. If you’re thinking about joining, get yourself along, because trust me, you’ll never look back.”
Gail, 29

“Although I considered myself to be in good condition for my age before I joined, I’ve managed to become stronger and more supple. Joining the gym is the best thing I have done in years.”
Duncan, 87

"As a regular gym user (3-4 times per week), I was struggling to lose lose my festive weight gain, but in the space of four weeks with the introduction of using the Vibrostation three times a week combined with my gym visits, I am now seeing visible results. The Vibrostation has given me the tone, definition, and results I have previously struggled to achieve, all in such a short space of time, whilst reducing my actual time in the gym. I will definately be continuing to exercise with the Vibrostation, and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending it to anyone."
Jane, 57

"In just 12 weeks, I managed to shed almost a stone-and-a-half, lose over a fifth of my body fat, and change my body shape. As a result I feel as fit as I possibly ever have, and I have actually surprised myself. After the initial tough first few weeks, you soon find things easier and you get a buzz from working out and from the progress you are making. Variation helps and I combined two Spinning classes per week with regular gym visits on top of other activities outside of the gym. If you really WANT to do it, you WILL make the time, you WILL achieve, and you WILL see and feel the difference. If you can't make the time, then you're just kidding yourself on... I should know... I did it for years!"
Stuart, 33

“I was unhappy with my fitness when I first started, but the facilities and approachable staff have helped me change my body shape.”
Tracy, 31

I have been a member for two years and I can see a big difference. I've lost two stones, I feel ten years younger, and I have lots more energy. My advice is to fit three training sessions into your regular week and you will feel the benefits. Just take it one step at a time. If I can do it, anyone can do it.
Gary, 44

“Although I was reasonably fit when I started, within a matter of weeks and with a bit of help from the staff I felt a lot fitter.”
Billy, 51

“Although I wasn’t overweight when I joined, i wasn’t happy with my figure and felt unfit. After following my programme for a couple of months and attending some of the classes, I actually managed to lose quite a bit of weight as well as toning up a lot. I now feel great and can do more than ever.”
Zoe, 30

“Joining Think Fitness helped me transform my body shape, my lifestyle, and my confidence, in a matter of months. I find the place to be a really motivational environment as the staff are always extremely positive about my personal progress, and it’s also a great place to meet new people.”
Graham, 36

“The hardest thing you will do is walk through the door for the first time. Once you have achieved that the rest is easy. My fitness had nose-dived after a back injury when I started and from struggling to last 30 minutes I now work out for two hours at a time. I’ve also manages to stop smoking, and as the gym has plenty of equipment, you’re guaranteed a varied workout no matter what your goal are. The staff are great and always willing to give advice – all you have to do is ask!”
David, 44

“Following a regular exercise programme in the gym has helped me become more toned and it has given me a lot more energy.”
Ellen, 43

JAMIE GINGER PIPS KEV TO WEEL-KENT FACE TITLE

Sunday 22nd August 2010

Like last year’s competition, it was another nail-biting finish, with the tightest of two-horse races between Jamie Ginger and Kev for the title. In the end Kev managed to close the gap in the voting stakes that week by six votes, but it just wasn’t quite enough to ctach Ginger who peaked at the right time to be crowned 2010 ‘Weel-Kent Face’ winner, winning by 46 points.

Indeed since the new voting and points system came into play in 2007, this year’s competition has been the most popular in the voting stakes, and the 5653 votes cast during the competition was more than double the amount cast in last year’s competition, easily beating 2007’s 3590 votes and 2008’s 4756 votes, which were won by Bobby and Nicola respectively. Hawick News sales were up on last year, Johnston Press Group’s best selling local paper even actually sold out over the weekend.

Third placed Sandi would have won the competition most other years with her total, so Kev must’ve been gutted to not win with the total he had. Think Fitness Co-owner Stuart Oliver commented “There is certainly no waning in the popularity of this competition. Love it or hate it, it gets people talking in the town, and folk vote in their droves. Last week alone almost ten per cent of the population voted, and there wasn’t a Hawick News to be had, which says it all really”.

“On behalf of everyone at Think Fitness, I’d like to thank once again all the task hosts who give up time and resources to make the competition the experience it is, and of course to this year’s gang of ‘faces’ who were as popular and as colourful as ever. As it turned out, whoever won out of Ginger and Kev would’ve thoroughly deserved it as would’ve Sandi to be fair, and I have to say gutted for Kev as he led for so long and was a great competitor. I am delighted for Ginger though as well, as he done everything with smile on his ‘face’, got stuck into every task, and made everyone laugh with his droll comments. Winning the ‘Weel-Kent Face title may even push him up the pecking order to be Cornet next year!”

NEW CLUB WEB-SITE OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED

Friday 7th May 2010

Welcome to our all new web-site.

Over the years we've had our fair share of problems with web-sites. From our very first 'Microsoft Frontpage' site in 2001 progressing to our impressive flash site in 2003, we then kind of stood still due to the fact we never had the knowledge to properly manage these sites, and therefore relied on others to do so on our behalf.

We had a web design and hosting company go bankrupt with the owner running away never to be seen again, we had a one man band who took over the site vanish into thin air, and in both cases we were left in limbo. Put off by our experiences, we've had a couple of years with just a holding page, with a link to a Bebo site, but now that is gone.

We've always wanted to be able to control and manage our own site, but we've never had that knowledge until now. Thanks to Aly Worters at Pictogram Digital, we've quickly been able to formulate our ideas, and come up with a design and build that allows us to use our web-site as a business tool, rather than a point of reference.

So please visit us regularly for the latest Club News, Gym Challenge information, Special Offers, and Class Timetables. If you have any suggestions regarding the web-site please do not hesitate on e-mail us, info@think-fitness.co.uk as we'd be delighted to hear from you.

We hope you enjoy the changes.
